Chanel Metiers D’Art Show Pre-Fall Collections 2013
Karl Lagerfeld has just debuted his latest work called Metiers D’Art. Pre-fall collection is shown in order to display the skill aspect of Chanel. Metiers D’Art Show held last night December 4, 2012, in an old castle in Scotland.
This show was held at Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. This place was chosen because it is close to the history of the Scottish nation Chanel. Coco Chanel spent time in Scotland in the 20s.
Chanel collection this time inspired by the textiles of Scotland, including the tartan. All clothing displayed and made bold print shades. Chanel reportedly also bought a cashmere factory there.
Uniquely from this show, the event was held at night time and every seat under a blanket invitation was warmers that can be used by guests.
