Indonesia Today, The World Tomorrow
The annual fashion week “Jakarta Fashion Week 2013” was officially opened in Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia. Saturday (03/11/2013). Event which was held for the fifth time this will bring more than 59 fashion show, featuring more than 180 designers, who will show off their latest collections from 3 to 9 November 2012.
One of Indonesia’s top designers, Sebastian Gunawan, and Lie Sang Bong from South Korea, had the honor to host the show ‘opening ceremony’. Sebastian, the designer who has won several awards such as the “International Apparel Federation World Young Designer Award” at Barcelona in 2004, featuring a collection of themed “Bella Pietra”.
Lie Sang Bong, who now lives in Paris, not less interesting background. Bong been dubbed “The Best Designer of the Year in 2009” in Seoul, and has held a collection at Paris Fashion Week since 2002. The collection is also popular among celebrities, such as Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Rihanna.
This year, Jakarta Fashion Week 2013, themed “Indonesia Today, The World Tomorrow“. This theme is taken to indicate that Indonesia is ready to enter the fashion industry. This determination is not without a strong foundation. The impact and reach of JFW has been recognized by professionals in the industry, from fashion journalists, photographers, stylists, to buyers from abroad. This is the most important, because the buyer is acting directly introduce Indonesian fashion products worldwide.
JFW The opening was also attended by the ambassadors of friendly countries of Indonesia, celebrities and fashion lovers in general.
